A look at our Horarium
Here within the order we follow a strict routine of Prayer. This is my personal Horarium. In the pdf above you can see the horariums that I have chosen to use. Each house or individal member is responsible for producing their own Horarium.
For all the offices we have a set prayer book and a liturgical calendar for special worship which has various days for different Gods and Goddesses and the usual neo pagan eight fold cycle. The first step along the monastic druid path is to make prayer an important part of your day. To help you with this here are some prayers you could begin to use. These are just a few examples and a quick search online will turn up hundreds more, and there is nothing stopping you from writing your own.
A celtic Blessing of Peace
Deep peace of the running waves to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the Triple Goddess to you.
A Celtic Blessing of Light
“May the blessing of light be on you, light without and light within
.May the blessed sunlight shine upon you and warm your heart till it glows,
Like a great peat fire, so that the stranger may come
and warm himself at it, as well as the friend.
And may the light shine out of the eyes of you,
like a candle set in the windows of a house,
Bidding the wanderer to come in out of the storm.
And may the blessing of the rain be on you - the soft sweet rain.
May it fall upon your spirit so that all the little flowers may spring up,
And shed their sweetness on the air.And may the blessing of the great rains be on you,
that they beat upon your spirit and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there many a shining pool, and sometimes a star
.And may the blessing of the earth be on you - the great round earth;
May you ever have a kindly greeting for people you pass
as you are going along the roads.
And now may the Great Father and Great Mother bless you, and bless you kindly.”
A Celtic Blessing
May the light of your soul guide you.
May the light of your soul bless the work that you do
with the secret love and warmth of your heart.
May you see in what you do the beauty of your own soul.
May the sacredness of your work bring healing, light
and renewal to those who work with you
and to those who see and receive your work.
May your work never weary you.
May it release within you wellsprings of
refreshment, inspiration and excitement.
May you be present in what you do.
May you never become lost in bland absences.
May the day never burden.
May dawn find you awake and alert,
approaching your new day with dreams, possibilities and promises.
May evening find you gracious and fulfilled.
May you go into the night blessed, sheltered and protected.
May your soul calm, console and renew you
